Monday, April 23rd ended as a milestone for the 2007 Grossmont Griffins softball team. After many years of domination by Palomar, the Griffins ended up taking two of the three games in Pacific Conference play.
I'm going to let the photos walk you through a story of the game, but this 11 inning game never failed to hold the spectator's attention. There were some wacky plays, some wacky calls, and many missed opportunities on both sides. But in the end, Grossmont prevailed in the bottom of the 11th with a 7-6 win for pitcher Jesse Peterson.
